My Samar - Sorsogon - Bicol trip (May 2008)

on Saturday, May 30, 2009

Me and my relatives decided to help our dear grandmother to go back to her province and see if her relatives are still there. There were seven of us who joined the trip which took us from North and Central Luzon towards the southern most part of the island (and a part of the Visayas region). I took some pictures of the food that we were able to eat while on the road trip.

^ Native crab cooked in coconut milk with Ampalaya leaves.

^ Fern (Paco) salad which was made by the wife of the former mayor of Sorsogon and who happens to be the owner of Fernando's Hotel where we stayed during the Sorsogon part of our trip.

^ A must try whenever you spend time in the Bicol region.

^ Large shrimps cooked in butter and garlic. Can be cooked as tempura too :)

^ Squid cooked in sweet and sour sauce.
